Integrative Veterinary Medicine

A holistic approach to correcting ill-health in our pets.

Hilton Vet Hospital - Cat Boarding Fremantle

At Hilton Veterinary Hospital you will be offered both conventional veterinary medicine and holistic veterinary medicine.

What does this involve?

When you present your pet to us for assessment of a problem, they will first be assessed conventionally with a standard physical exam by one of our vets, and offered blood tests and imaging appropriate to the problem.

Once we have a diagnosis (or we have ruled out certain problems) we can go onto the next step which is treatment. Treatment usually involves a combination of both regular veterinary medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) involves several “arms”: acupuncture, herbal medicine, food therapy, and Tui Na (Chinese Massage).

The TCVM will be carried out by Dr Elisabeth Knight, certified in veterinary acupuncture (CVA), veterinary food therapy (CVFT), and veterinary balance method of acupuncture (CVBMA), and is currently completing her Herbal medicine certificate (a 3 year process).
