Pet Ultrasound Imaging
An ultrasound scan is a medical test that uses high-frequency sound waves to capture live images from the inside of your pet’s body. An ultrasound allows your veterinarian to see problems within organs, vessels, and tissues without needing to go to surgery.
Ultrasound is a safe and painless procedure and can be done without sedation most of the time.

Abdominal Ultrasound will be indicated if your pet is suspected to have:
Fluid in the abdominal cavity
Hernia
Pancreatitis
Cancer
Liver problems
Kidney problems
Gastro-intestinal problems
Chest Ultrasound will be indicated if your pet is suspected to have:
Enlarged heart
Congestive heart failure
Tumours
Pregnancy Ultrasounds are used:
To confirm pregnancy
to determine the stage of pregnancy
to look for foetal defects
